What is AngelSchool.vc?

We’re a 1300+ global angel investor community. We share highly-vetted deals and our diligence with our investor network for free.

We also run venture programs: 

Venture Fundamentals: gives emerging Angel Investors essential venture skills and deal experience in just 10 hours.

Syndicate Blueprint: helps experienced Angel Investors build angel network & lead Syndicate deals. This is an 8 week x 2.5 hr cohort based program.

No, there are no costs to receive deal flow or to be part of the AngelSchool.vc network. There are also no requirements on how many deals or how much capital you need to invest each year.

How do I get updates on investments?

We stay in touch with our portfolio companies on a monthly basis and share investor updates at least quarterly. We’ll provide extraordinary updates on an ad-hoc basis as needed.

What is the minimum investment?

The minimum investment is US$10,000 per deal.

Do I have to be an accredited investor?

You do not have to be accredited to see dealflow. Investors will need to self-accredit during the investment process.

What are the terms of each syndicate deal?

On each syndicate investment, ~5% of committed capital goes towards fees. This is one time and non-recurring.

There is 20% carried interest in the event of an exit.

Is AngelSchool.vc invested in all deals?

We have ‘skin in the game’ in all deals in some form. In many cases, we’ve already invested at earlier (and much riskier) stages before they are ready to be syndicated.

What type of companies does AngelSchool.vc invest in?

We invest in B2B, Software and Technology businesses at seed to series A. We may consider pre-seed companies with a product and which are generating revenue.

We invest across the US, Europe and SE Asia.

What is the typical exit period?

There’s no such thing as  a typical holding period. We look for companies with the potential to be big and generate meaningful returns in an exit.

A fast growing company can reach $1 BN valuation in 5 years. Our best performing companies have achieved this in 3 years. 

How do companies exit?

The 2 main exit paths are IPO or M&A. Another is a ‘secondary transaction’ whereby a later stage investor offers to buy out early investors. 

Is there a return hurdle?

No, syndicates do not have a return hurdle. Unlike funds, syndicates do not charge 2% annual management fees (20% over 10 year fund life).
